Classroom Expectations
1. Class begins promptly at 9:00 AM and ends at 12:00 PM.
Be here on TIME.
2. Please sign in and sign out every day.
3. This is a learning environment. Please be respectful of others and conduct yourself in a professional manner at all times. Learning takes a lot of concentration. Unnecessary noise can distract from learning.
4. Smoking policy: No smoking is allowed anywhere on school property. This is a smoke-free campus.
5. Satisfactory Progress: Students may work at their own pace but are expected to maintain satisfactory progress. If in the judgment of your instructor, you are not making reasonable effort and progress, you will be counseled, advised, and an attempt will be made to work out special problems you may have. If your productivity does not improve, you will then be asked to speak with the Principal regarding your progress.
6. Dress and Grooming: All clothing should be neat and clean. Students should dress as though they were working in an office. We occasionally have visitors from government agencies and other schools.
7. Do not take school property home: books, calculators, dictionaries, tests etc. and or vandalize school property.
8. Cell Phone Use: Stop from answering, text messaging and using the cell phone during class hours. Turn it off. In case of an emergency, use the Delano Adult School office phone.
9. Do not bring food or drinks into the classroom.
10. Remember, we are all here to learn! You should be doing class work at all times. So use your time wisely, every minute counts to meeting your Goal!
